Lua devs, check this out. Ahrimanes has released a new homebrew app that lets you port 3D models to Lua through the ASE format. According to ahrimanes, all you have to do is to export your 3D model file to ASE then use ASE2LUA and "you will have the triangle array to use in gu."
The download below includes the following:
1. some ase models 2. 1 max model to test 3dmax to ase then lua 3. ase2lua v0.1 by ahrimanes 4. tutorial folder 5. and eboot folder (this is a test of the ship.max) basically luaplayer testhing ase2lua output.
This version of ASE2LUA also supports UV mapping coordinates. A few errors were also fixed from the first release. For bug reports, suggestions, and what-have-you, discuss this release on our PSP Development forums.
Homebrew developer SamuraiX has released the SGE Library r030809 for the PSP. For those not familiar with it, SGE is a graphic library for the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL). Essentially a low level API, the preset graphics functions found in this release should make coding homebrew easier.
The developer originally downloaded a version of SGE library from ps2.org but found it to be lacking support for . Because of this, SamuraiX decided to port the source and essentially create a version which has all the functions he needed as well as the standard functions developers expect from SGE.
Included in the compressed file are very detailed instructions on the use of this application . Be sure to go over it very well before doing anything. As an added bonus, there is a beginners guide included in the API documentation, so newer coders might want to brows over that as well.
Homebrew developer charnold has released a new update for PSP Dungeons' 3D map editor. The editor lets users create maps for the PSP Dungeons: Assault Run homebrew game.
Before you get all your hopes up, AI still remains to be implemented and is not included in this release. This update does include the following additions, though:
* rotate and mirror local texture coordinates * confirmation before deleting items
If you're looking for more information on the 3D map editor, just click on the Visit link below and leave a post on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums.
Homebrew developer Poison_xtremelua has released the second version of 3D to C. This homebrew which was designed to run on Linux OS is a powerfu application for developers who need to convert 3D images to C files easily.
Unlike the previous version of 3D to C which could only convert .obj files, Poison_extremelua has added support for *.ac , *.iv , and *off files. In addition, the developer also saw fit to add a method of mass converting files making this program much more feasible for homebrew that have a lot of 3D sprites and graphics.
If you plan on using this application, be sure to go over the readme document included in the compressed file. That said, homebrew developers who code in C will probably appreciate this latest version of 3D to C.
Developer charnold visited the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce the release version 1.0.2 of the PSP Dungeons: Assault Run 3D Editor.
As a recap for the new readers, this application will enable you to create your own custom maps for the Dungeons Assault Run homebrew game for the Sony PlayStation Portable.

File Description omebrew Developer Durka Durka Mahn has just released the VCS Tools Pack v0.001 for the PSP. This PC based application allows users to display user specified messages on the bottom of the screen during gameplay as well as teleporting your character to various coordinates in the map.
The developer didn't include a read me document with his program but left some instruction on its use in the forums. Remember that you need to be using the VCS cheat program for this work. Here's his exact post on this as well as the known bugs of the program he made:
Controls: Type 1 or 2 to choose what tool you want to use. Simply type in the information that the program asks you for and hit enter, until finally, it asks you to export it. Then simply type in the EXACT file path of the .txt file you want to save it to.
For example, if I wanted to put it on my PSP, I would input: I:CHEATSvcscheats.txt Then it will be saved along with your other cheats in your cheats.txt file.
Known bugs:After using the program once, you will need to restart it, I am having problems getting it to go back and let you make more than one code per launch. (If anyone could help me with this, please do!)
A pretty solid first attempt by Durka Durka Mahn. Remember that this a work in progress and that the developer is going to try to making this an actual application on
